Aitken Spence Hotels Maldives Sector Achieves Green Globe Recertification Across All Five Resorts
Aitken Spence Hotels is pleased to announce that all five Maldives sector resorts have successfully achieved Green Globe Certification under the Green Globe Standard 1.7 – Hotel & Resort Category, marking another important milestone in the group’s ongoing sustainability journey.
This year’s achievement is especially significant, with every property recording an improvement in its compliance score compared with 2024. The progress reflects the continued commitment of the resorts to responsible operations, environmental stewardship and sustainable hospitality practices across the Maldives.
The improved scores are as follows:
- Heritance Aarah: 87% to 91%
- Adaaran Select Meedhupparu: 87% to 89%
- Adaaran Club Rannalhi: 88% to 89%
- Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi: 87% to 88%
- Adaaran Prestige Vadoo: 86% to 87%
Since 2017, the Maldives sector has worked with external certification bodies to assess, guide and strengthen its sustainability performance. The latest Green Globe recertification demonstrates steady progress across the portfolio, driven by teamwork, accountability and a shared belief that hospitality must continue to grow responsibly.
