The Adaaran Meedhupparu Family Island Adventure!
As our seaplane descended gently towards Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, my kids pressed their faces to the window, shouting excitedly as shades of turquoise shone below. Meedhupparu is a mature island with sweeping gardens and towering banyan trees that create a shaded, serene atmosphere as you wander through. These giant trees have become landmarks on our daily walks—my kids call them “jungle giants”—and the winding garden paths add a touch of wonder to even the simplest stroll.
The island’s gently sloping beaches and crystal-clear lagoons have been perfect for introducing our kids to snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. With the help of the attentive watersports team, our family shared unforgettable moments spotting colourful fish darting between coral gardens just a few strokes offshore.
Mealtimes here are another highlight. At the sprawling Jaafaiy restaurant, each dinner becomes a culinary adventure for our whole family. With an ever-changing international buffet and nightly themes—from mouth-watering Italian pastas to aromatic Indian curries and kid-friendly dishes—everyone finds something to love. Café Mass is another family favourite, offering delicious pizzas, burgers, and snacks that keep hungry kids happy throughout the day, while we parents relax with iced coffees or tropical smoothies.
But beyond the fantastic food and activities, what truly makes Adaaran Select Meedhupparu special is its genuine warmth. The staff remember our kids’ names, preferences, and favorite activities, making us feel genuinely cared for. Evening strolls along the beach, watching the sky turn tints of blue, have become our daily ritual—a perfect chance to pause, reflect, and enjoy each other’s company, reconnecting in ways that everyday life rarely allows.
As we settle into this island rhythm, it’s easy to imagine returning year after year, watching our kids grow alongside the island itself.
